Village Court Ordinance was enacted in post-independent Bangladesh in 1976, taking into consideration the justice of the common people in rural areas. Later, on 09 May 2006, the Village Courts Act was enacted through Act No. 19. The main idea of this law is to settle disputes locally in a short time. With the help of self-appointed representatives, village courts are formed to resolve disputes peacefully and social peace and harmony are maintained through these courts. People are benefiting.
What is the meaning of village court?
